Transcend delivers a focus on the limitations of a singular reality. Abi MB and Kirsten Groff use their work to link our temporal reality and our consciousness in a way that transcends the material world. The work reflects on the various perceptions of human existence.
Abi MB’s work intends to link the reality of landscape with the idea of a personal perspective. She takes elements of architecture and landscape and introduces them into a surreal space. Abi utilizes reflective surfaces to attract the viewer by seeing their own reflection. The pieces themselves change as the viewer walks around them.
Kirsten Groff also explores ideas of perception and individual realities. She is exploring the physical reality and how the mind can create it’s own dimensions of time and space. Through her work, Groff questions personal perception and how it affects people’s physical reality.
